Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 29, 2026
Monarch Labs Collective Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") operates MakerPost ("Service"). This Privacy Policy (version 2026-05-29) explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use makerpost.co and related services.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly:
- Account details (email, display name, timezone, notification preferences)
- Content you compose, schedule, or upload for publishing
- OAuth tokens for connected social accounts (stored securely; not included in exports)
- Billing information processed by Stripe (we do not store full card numbers)
- Terms acceptance timestamp when you create an account
We also collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, and usage logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
2. How we use information
We use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve MakerPost
- Authenticate you and connect third-party social accounts
- Schedule and publish posts you authorize. As of this policy date, automated publishing is available for X and LinkedIn only; TikTok and Instagram connections are stored for future publishing once platform approvals are complete.
- Process subscriptions and send transactional emails (e.g. failed dispatch alerts via Brevo when you opt in)
- Respond to support requests and prevent abuse
We do not use your data for third-party advertising or sell personal information.
3. Third-party services
We share data with service providers only as needed to operate MakerPost, including:
- Supabase (authentication, database, file storage)
- Stripe (payments and subscriptions)
- Brevo (transactional email, when enabled)
- Vercel (hosting)
- Social platforms you connect (X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram) when you authorize access or we publish on your behalf
Each provider has its own privacy policy. We act as a data processor for content you direct us to publish; platform operators may process that content under their own terms.
4. Data retention
We retain account and post data while your account is active. When you delete your account in Settings, we remove your profile, posts, connected platform tokens, and uploaded media from our systems. Some billing or security records may be retained where required by law or for fraud prevention.
5. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, row-level security in our database, and secure token storage. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location (including the EU/UK under GDPR and California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to:
- Access and receive a copy of your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
Self-service: Signed-in users can export data and delete their account from Settings → Privacy & data. For other requests, email privacy@makerpost.co. We respond within 30 days where applicable law requires it. EU/UK users may lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
7. Cookies and local storage
We use essential cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, and security (via Supabase Auth). We may store a local preference when you dismiss our cookie notice. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.
8. Children
MakerPost is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact privacy@makerpost.co.
9. International transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses where required) for cross-border transfers.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-app notice where required.
